Babywearing Nelson

The aim of Babywearing Nelson is to provide a sling library so people can come to try and hire different baby carriers they are curious about, or are considering buying. Or to bring along their own carrier if they need some help.

Carriers are hired out at our monthly meets. Please check our events page for our next meeting.

We currently hold our meetings every third Saturday, 10am at Victory Community Centre, Nelson.

Carrier Hire

Carrier hire is $10 per month per carrier (multiple carriers can be hired at once). Hire fees are used for purchasing and maintaining the carriers in our library. No bond is required however we do need to site some form of ID such as a drivers license.

Lending Conditions

• You take full responsibility for the safety of your child whilst using a Babywearing Nelson carrier.
• There is a late fee of $10 for the first week and $20 per week thereafter if not returned by the due date. You can opt to post a carrier back at your cost, via Track & Trace
• You are liable to pay current replacement cost should a carrier be damaged in your care and / or need replacing.
• You agree to take excellent care of any carriers loaned, and not to wash them.
• No smoking while using carriers, or around them.
